Coaching certification is a standard seven-step process. Coaches seeking certification or practical evaluations should follow the steps below.

Coach / instructor contacts Rowing BC at info@rowingbc.ca requesting a practical evaluation. This request must include the following:
- Full Name
- Address
- Phone #
- Email Address
- NCCP #
- Level of evaluation required

Rowing BC will cross reference NCCP database confirming coaches eligibility. If a coach is not eligible for the evaluation requested, Rowing BC will update the coach on what they must complete prior to the evaluation.

Rowing BC will confirm eligibility and assign an evaluator.

This assessment is coordinated through RCA. Rowing BC will work with eligible candidates to develop a plan to achieve their Level 3 practical. |

The coach / evaluator will schedule an appropriate time to conduct the evaluation.

After the evaluation, the coach receives written feedback and is assigned a pass, fail or further work required. This information is provided to Rowing BC
|

Upon receipt of the information, Rowing BC submits the appropriate forms to the Coaches Association of Canada (CAC)

CAC updates the coach's transcript
