The new NCCP marks a shift in coach education and training to a competency-based approach. The certification process has been updated in terms of relevancy, content delivery, practical application and coach evaluation.

New Coaches

RCA has developed two workshops that align with the new NCCP

• Learn to Rowing Instructor Workshop - teaches how to instruct Learn to Row camps or lessons
• RCA Coach Workshops - prepares coaches taking relatively new athletes to regattas

Coaches with Old NCCP Accreditation

Coaches will need to complete some additional courses to transfer credit for old NCCP credits to the new NCCP system. For more information view Transition to the New NCCP

Rowing BC Coaching Development Pathway
